Meet Dr Catherine Jenkins
Clinical Psychologist
BA(JointHons), MLitt, DClinPsy, C. Psychol
Hello and welcome. It can be really tough choosing a therapist and it's important to pick someone who feels a good fit for you personally. Hopefully this information will help you decide if you'd like to contact me to discuss working together on whatever you're looking for help with.
I consider myself to be warm, open and straight forward as a person and as a therapist. I create a compassionate and safe space where we can work together to understand and tackle difficulties and distress.

I worked within the NHS from 2003 – 2022, with experience across a variety of specialisms including Adult Mental Health, Primary Care, Learning Disabilities, Physical Health, Public Health and Occupational Health services. I worked with individuals, carers/staff groups and families and also systemically, providing psychological input at a Health Board, National and Government level.

Since November 2022 I have worked solely in private practice. I am co-founder and managing partner of The Wellbeing Rooms (Scotland) LLP
https://www.thewellbeingrooms.org.uk/

I am a chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a member of the Association of Clinical Psychologists UK (ACP-UK).
I am a registered Psychologist Practitioner with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC membership number: PYL24224)
I offer face to face and online private therapy to self funding adults (aged 18 and over).

Corporate Services
I enjoy providing teaching, training, consultancy and supervision to a wide range of service-users and staff groups and am happy to discuss your requests/requirements.
Prior to working solely in private practice I held a leadership role involving developing, delivering and evaluating a new psychological service within Occupational Health in NHS GGC. This had the remit for individual and systemic approaches and interventions to improve the psychological wellbeing of NHS GGCs 40 000 staff in the immediate aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. With my particular skills and my experience working within Public Health and Occupational Health, I am well placed to work with employers and employees on psychological health and wellbeing in the workplace.

I am passionate about utilising psychological knowledge and skills systemically and working at a population level to effect change. I have written for magazines, blogged, vlogged, delivered webinars and presented at conferences and events to share psychological knowledge. Most recently I partnered with The Bearsden Festival to deliver a talk about mental health and menopause.
If you would be interested in discussing how I could help your organisation, please get in touch.
